Hama Hama is looking for experienced line and prep cooks to join our Brick-and-Mortar farm store and oyster saloon in Lilliwaup, WA.
Family owned and operated for five generations, we’re a shellfish and timber farm located on the eastern slopes of the Olympic Peninsula. Our reputation for quality is built on hard work and clean water. Our mission is pretty simple: use low impact farming methods to grow world-class oysters and trees, have fun, and leave something good for the next guy. Our oyster saloon dishes out fresh shellfish, local beer and wine, and positive vibes with a waterfront view.
This position reports to the Culinary Operations Manager.
-Cook menu items to specified recipes and Hama Hama Standards
-Prepare food items packaged for resale in our farm and online stores, following safety guidelines
-Staying knowledgeable about current offerings (seasonal shellfish, menu options and schedule, etc.) and Covid-19 safety plans
-Delivering orders to diners and bussing tables
-Maintaining a clean and sanitized store front, outdoor dining area, and kitchen
-Ability to stand for 4 hours at a time, bending/stooping, lifting or moving up to 40 lb
-Must be dependable and have reliable transportation
-Able to execute a recipe. Prior kitchen experience required, oyster shucking experience a plus
-Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude
-Ability to following verbal and written directions
Full- and part-time seasonal positions are available. Weekend work will be required as needed. Compensation DOE.
