Hood Canal Spot Prawns - Frozen 1/2 Lb Tails

The elusive Hood Canal Spot Prawn! These delicious spot prawns are heavily regulated to prevent overharvest, and are only available a few days a year. We buy them fresh from local Skokomish Indian Tribal members and freeze the tails in pint containers in 1/2 lb units. Availability is extremely limited.

Keep in mind, when cooking these shrimp, that they cook in minutes. When they're firm and the shells are pink and the meat is white (and no longer translucent), they're done!
