The Farm Store
Stop by our Farm Store in Lilliwaup for fresh Pacific Northwest seafood straight from the source. Located on our sixth-generation oyster farm on Hood Canal, the store is stocked with Hama Hama oysters and clams; house-smoked seafood; carefully-sourced PNW seafood; locally produced food, beer, wine and soda, gifts; and everything you need for an oyster feast. The Farm Store is the only source (besides our online store) for Hama Hama branded merchandise for the whole family.
Our store is open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas, no reservation needed. Hours and directions here.
What You'll Find at the Farm Store
- Fresh Hama Hama oysters and clams to take home and cook
- U-shuck oysters to eat on site (we'll lend you the gloves and knife!)

- Live and cooked Dungeness crab when available
- Fresh seasonal seafood
- Hama Hama apparel, shucking knives, and gifts
- Local cheeses, meats, ice cream, chocolate, snacks, beer and wine

Whenever the Oyster Saloon or Stump Bar is closed, our Farm Store serves grilled cheese sandwiches and soups, including our famous seafood chowder.
Fresh Shellfish Straight From the Farm
Our Farm Store specializes in selling farm-fresh products grown just a shell's throw away, and offers our absolute best pricing on the larger oysters which are great for grilling and roasting, as well as our fresh shucked oysters sold in jars.
Not sure what to buy? Ask us. Our Farm Store crew can help you choose oysters, estimate how much shellfish you need for a crowd, talk you through storage and shucking, or help you put together an easy seafood dinner.
A Hood Canal Roadside Stop Since the 1960s
In the 1960s, when we opened our farm store, our only employee was a woman named Myrtle, who spent a good amount of time on her CB radio making chitchat with people driving by on the highway. Her handle was “Hama Hama Oyster Mama.”

The store has changed quite a bit since Myrtle's day (and we've ditched the CB radio), but the basic idea hasn't: sell great local food and be a resource for people who want to learn a little about shellfish, seafood, and this place.
More Than a Seafood Market
Today the Farm Store is part seafood market, part country store, and part Hood Canal pit stop. Campers stock up on seafood and snacks, locals swing through for dinner supplies, travelers stop on their way up Highway 101, and oyster lovers make the pilgrimage for fresh shellfish straight from the farm. If you're waiting for a table at the Oyster Saloon, it's also a good place to grab a drink, browse Hama Hama gear, or pick up something to take home.
Farm Store FAQ
Can I buy fresh oysters at the farm?
Yes. The Farm Store sells fresh oysters and clams to take home, including Hama Hama oysters grown right here on Hood Canal. Selection changes with season and availability.
Google says you're closed - are you?
The Farm Store is open! Barring an epic amount of snow, or a mudslide, or a flood, or a combo of all three (which sometimes happens on Highway 101), the store is open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas. And whenever the Saloon is closed, the Farm Store sells grilled cheese sandwiches, fresh baked cookies, and soups (including our famous seafood chowder).
Do I need a reservation to visit the Farm Store?
No. The Farm Store is open to walk-in customers seven days a week.
Can I buy seafood to take camping?
Absolutely. We sell fresh shellfish, smoked seafood, snacks, drinks, and other supplies that make it easy to put together a Hood Canal campsite feast. We'll give you some crushed ice to put in your cooler, too.
Do you sell Dungeness crab?
We carry live and/or cooked Dungeness crab when available. Availability varies seasonally, so call ahead if crab is the reason for your trip. If we don't have it live, we'll likely have frozen crab clusters. Just ask!
Can you help me choose oysters?
Yes. Our staff can explain the differences between available oysters and help you choose based on flavor, size, or how you're planning to prepare them.
