It's Oysters and Friends signup time!

This is a monthly subscription service - kinda like a CSA - that runs for six months at a time. Each month, we'll ship you a box containing delicious food, along with information about where it came from and how to cook it. Boxes will generally have 1-3 dozen oysters (either for grilling, frying, eating raw, or all of the above) and 2-3 lbs of clams or mussels, plus three "friends," which is a general term we're using for fun items we source from our beaches, farms, fields, colleagues, and production kitchen. In peak summer (July or August) the boxes will contain meal kits for summer parties, and may or may not contain oysters. 

The 2026 Spring Subscription runs from February through July, taking us from the ice cold waters of deep winter, through the rich pastures of spring, and into the dog days of summer. We'll explore oyster flavor through the seasons, feast on sea beans and shrimp, forage for nettles and wild mushrooms, experiment with various clam species, taste fish from local and northern waters, and enjoy concoctions from local trees and berries. Spring is dynamic in the Great(er) PNW, come join us!

Availability is limited. 

Once you purchase this subscription, all subsequent payments will be automatically charged on the first of each month. Boxes will ship either the 2nd or the 3rd Wednesday of the month, depending on which team you choose.

A few notes:

  • Dates aren’t flexible, because having predictable ship dates help us source products we can’t otherwise sell online.
  • Blue Team Delivery Dates Are: Feb 12th, Mar 12th, Apr 9th, May 14th, June 11th, and July 9th
  • Green Team Delivery Dates Are: Feb 19th, Mar 19th, Apr 16th, May 21st, June 18th, and July 16th
  • For folks with dietary restrictions: We send compound butter (dairy) fairly regularly, and occasionally boxes contain wheat products (pasta or breading) or meat (chorizo or similar), in addition to other allergens. We aren't able to do substitutions at this time, but if you have dietary restrictions, we can let you know what boxes to skip. 
  • It's easy to skip a month if you're traveling or otherwise unable to receive a box, just email to let us know before the 1st of the month to avoid being charged.
  • Purchasing this product means we'll sign you up for our email list to receive monthly updates about box contents.

Remember that consuming raw or undercooked shellfish increases the risk of foodborne illness.

Non-Perishable Shipping Rates (USPS):

  • Flat rate $8
  • Delivery may take up to 1 week

We pack every order in insulated boxes with frozen gel ice and ship via FedEx.

Packages usually arrive overnight, but there's enough ice to keep things cool for up to 2 days (3 in the winter), in case of delays. 

Signatures are not required for delivery

Delivery Timing

  • Select your preferred delivery date at checkout (Tuesday–Friday).
  • We'll ship with the goal to deliver on that date, but orders may arrive 1–2 days late due to factors outside our control.
  • For less stress, pick a delivery date 2–3 days before you plan to eat the shellfish.
  • Order cutoff: 6 AM Pacific for same-day shipping.
  • FedEx delivery window: usually 4:30–8:00 PM, depending on location.
  • Specialty items (i.e. seasonal boxes) usually have fixed delivery dates.
  • Non-perishables ordered by themselves ship via USPS and may take up to a week. (If you order a t-shirt with your oysters, it'll arrive with the shellfish).

Changing or Canceling an Order

  • Cancel up to 8 AM on your ship date.
  • Need to modify? Give us 24 hours’ notice to add or remove items.

Sending a Gift?

  • Add a gift message during checkout if you like.
  • Please make sure the recipient will be home to receive it (and put it in the refrigerator!)

Shipping to an Apartment or Business

  • Confirm FedEx can access or leave the package safely.
  • FedEx sometimes delivers in the morning, so ensure someone’s available at 9 am.
  • If delivery isn’t possible (closed business, locked entry, wrong address), the package may need to be picked up at a FedEx location.

Our business is 103 years old (and counting) so we're definitely in this for the long haul — building loyalty means making things right when something goes wrong.

Our Happiness Guarantee covers:

  • Damaged items during transit (please send photos!)
  • Lost product from deliveries delayed more than 2 days from selected delivery date.
  • Missing or mis-picked items
  • Quality concerns (too big, too small, or not what you expected)

Depending on the issue, we’ll reship, refund, credit, or offer a discount on a future order, as long as you let us know within 72 hrs. Please see our refund policy for more detail.

If Your Perishable Order Is Delayed

  • We’ll contact you if there’s a delay, and will work with FedEx to reschedule delivery for the next day.
  • Don’t worry — your shellfish will just think the tide has gone out, and will be fine with an extra day or two in transit.
  • When your box arrives, check the temperature tracking tab inside; it’ll confirm that everything stayed cold.

What’s Not Covered

We can’t replace or refund orders when issues are outside our control, including:

  • Incorrect address or delivery date entered at checkout
  • Orders not retrieved on the delivery date
  • Lost or stolen packages after FedEx marks them as delivered
