Pacific razor clams are a coastal delicacy - they thrive on the flat, sandy beaches of the Washington and Oregon coasts, and going on razor clam hunts on wintertime low tides is a time-honored PNW tradition. These particular clams come to us via the Quinault Indian Nation, who have been harvesting razors off the Washington Coast for millennia and have exclusive access to some of the most pristine ocean beaches in the United States.
Razor clams are large enough to produce steaks - so if you're looking for clam strips, look no further. These clams are sweet and slightly nutty in flavor and are absolutely scrumptious pan fried.
These have been cleaned, vacuum sealed, and frozen - they may arrive at your doorstep a bit defrosted, and can either be re-frozen, or opened up, removed from their packaging and defrosted under refrigeration.
