2024 Fall Oysters & Friends Subscription
It's Oysters and Friends signup time!
This is a monthly subscription service - kinda like a CSA - that runs for six months at time. Each month, we'll ship you a box containing delicious food, along with information about where it came from and how to cook it. Boxes will generally have 1-3 dozen oysters (either for grilling, frying, eating raw, or all of the above) and 2-3 lbs of clams or mussels, plus three "friends," which is a general term we're using for fun items we source from our beaches, farms, fields, colleagues, and production kitchen. In peak summer (July or August) the boxes will contain meal kits for summer parties, and may or may not contain oysters.
The 2024 Fall Subscription runs from August through January, taking us from the heat of summer, through the golden light of fall, and into the depths of winter. We'll explore oyster flavor through the seasons, and mark the return of the rainy season with wild mushrooms, seafood boils, hard-to-find oyster varieties, roasted oyster recipes, and other treats from the sea.
Availability is very limited.
Once you purchase this subscription, all subsequent payments will be automatically charged on the first of each month. Boxes will ship either the 2nd or the 3rd Wednesday of the month, depending on which week you choose.
A few notes:
- Dates aren’t flexible, because having predictable ship dates helps us source products we can’t otherwise sell online.
- For folks with dietary restrictions: We send compound butter (dairy) fairly regularly, and occasionally boxes contain wheat products (pasta or breading) or meat (chorizo or similar), in addition to other allergens. We aren't able to do substitutions at this time, but if you have dietary restrictions, we can let you know what boxes to skip.
- It's easy to skip a month if you're traveling or otherwise unable to receive a box, just email to let us know before the 1st of the month to avoid being charged.
- Purchasing this product means we'll sign you up for our email list to receive monthly updates about box contents.

We LOVE our Hama Hama and Friends subscription! We split it with our awesome friends who happen to be our neighbors, too. It’s the perfect amount to spend on a little splurge each month and I always look forward to knowing I’m getting a little high quality treat mid-month and also supporting an awesome small business at the same time! We love receiving our Oysters and Friends delivery each month. Everything is so thoughtfully curated including the recipes and descriptions of the items. Its a sizable amount each month so we typically invite friends to join us for a meal.
I cooked and hosted my first seafood boil with the ingredients and directions and encouragement from the August box. It was delicious! The photos with the directions were very helpful and made the steps more manageable. The newspaper included in the box was actually super funny and helpful. We no longer subscribe to our paper so talking about and looking at a "real" newspaper brought many conversations to the table.
I’ve subscribed to quite a few more traditional CSA boxes over the years, and I came into the Oysters & Friends CSA prepared with the expectation that I might have to go outside my comfort zone and get creative with some items. I’ve moved away from traditional veggie-focused CSA boxes and just opt to get what looks good at the market whenever I go. But Hama Hama’s Oysters & Friends CSA box comes with accompanying emails, instructions in the box, and just about everything you need to enjoy fresh seafood in your own kitchen. The first box included a seafood boil kit that ended up being a lovely feast for me and my friends. I’m so excited for the rest of the boxes!
