Description

Hama Hama Oysters grow the old fashioned way, directly on the gravel where our namesake river flows out of the Olympic Mountains and into Hood Canal. Exposed twice a day by the outgoing tide, they're slow-growing, beach-hardened, and known for a clean, crisp flavor with a sweet finish that evokes melon rind or cucumber. Highly seasonal, Hama Hama tend to be sweeter in the spring and brinier in the fall and winter.

“It’s a frontier oyster, its gnarly, gray-green shell mirroring the misty fir forests that shroud the river all the way down to Hood Canal.” Rowan Jacobsen, Culture + Travel

Love Hama Hama's

I've always loved Hama Hama oysters and these lived up to my expectations. The order was 4 oysters short but my credit card was refunded the amount the four oysters would have cost. Great customer service!

Top quality oysters

We have ordered these oysters a few times and they are always delicious! We live in Spokane and they arrive overnight, always cold and fresh. The ones we ordered for New Years were exceptionally tasty! I would highly recommend Hama Hama!

Pre-Christmas Party Oysters that didn’t disappoint

Fire grilled up these bad boys with some classic garlic, herby butter and Parmesan. **chefs kiss**. Some of the best oysters we’ve ever had.

Delicious

Delicious oysters but seemed a bit less fresh than the ones I've ordered from Island Creek, an east coast purveyor. I ate oysters in Seattle last summer so was inspired to order from the west coast. Of the 4 dozen we ordered 5 were dry as a bone and although they smelled good, were nervous to eat. Maybe it was a bad time of the year or too far.
