Description

Hey, we're throwing a Farm Day on a Sunday!

We only have handful of tickets available, and we're mixing up the programming a bit from our normal farm day.

Join us the morning of Sunday 4/27 for a guided harvest session followed by lunch on your own in the Oyster Saloon.

This event will kickoff at 10:15 in our upstairs room where we'll teach you to shuck, give a mini oyster class with a sprinkling of forest foraging intel, and snack on a charcuterie board from our Farm Store. Then we'll head out on the flats, where you'll harvest your own clams and oysters, before moving up to shore to rinse, bag, and ice everything down.

After that, you're invited to stay for lunch in the Oyster Saloon - we'll have a group table lined up and you'll order food and drink for your party.

Tickets include:

  • AM snacks (cheese / crackers and the like, plus a few oysters to practice shucking)
  • Entry for 1 person (any age)
  • 1 pair of gloves (one size fits most)
  • 1 oyster knife
  • The ability to harvest 3 dz oysters and ~3 lbs of clams to take home with you
  • A 5 gallon bucket to transport your catch
  • Shucking instruction & guided harvest / beach walk
  • A seat at a communal table in the Oyster Saloon from 12:45 to 2:45 - you'll order food and drink on your own!

Once you buy your ticket, we'll follow up via email with more information about things to bring and other logistics. This means that we'll add you to our marketing email list (if periodic emails from us aren't your thing, it's easy to unsubscribe after the event is over.)

Here are a few FAQs:

  • No dogs allowed on the beach
  • You don't need a State Shellfish Permit
  • No outside food or drink allowed on site
  • No refunds given if you don't harvest the full amount - if you can't eat it all yourself, give some to friends!

See you on the beach!

Unmarked hazards exist on our beach, both man made and natural, so if you venture out please remember to watch your step. When you arrive at the event, we'll have a check-in station with more information about beach safety, and will require everyone who walks on the beach to sign a safety waiver and hear our safety spiel.
