Hama Hama is seeking an experienced sales professional to join our Sales Team!

Position Summary: 

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Professional to meet shellfish business growth goals. This role will focus on building and maintaining relationships with key accounts, driving business growth, and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will have a passion for seafood, a strong understanding of the hospitality and foodservice industries, strategic sales and outreach experience, and the ability to meet and exceed sales goals.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for shellfish product lines.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the restaurant and wholesale markets.
  • Cultivate and manage a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, repeat orders, and ongoing business development.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by providing product knowledge, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring product availability.
  • Track sales activity, monitor customer satisfaction, and provide feedback to the management team.
  • Collaborate with the farm and operations teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and product availability.

Requirements Include:

  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities. 
  • Aptitude for attention to detail and organizational abilities, as well as excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the foodservice, restaurant, and retail sectors.
  • Proficient in CRM software and sales tracking tools. 
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to address challenges with a positive, collaborative, can-do attitude and in alignment of company values.
  • Able to travel for business development or client meetings in the Puget Sound and Portland regions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, marketing or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the food or seafood industry.
  • Passion for seafood and sustainable farming practices.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Comfortable traveling for out of State business development and client meetings (1 to 3 trips per year).

Total Rewards:

Compensation $28 to $34 per hour DOE plus quarterly production bonuses and discretionary bonuses. This is a full time, year round, benefit eligible, onsite position, with occasional travel to execute sales strategy. Possibility for 1 or 2 work from home days per week after 6 months on the job. Expected hours of work are Sunday-Thursday, 35 to 40 hours per week. Schedule can change to accommodate chef related events or marketing efforts.
