2023 Job Post: Fulfillment Support Specialist

Hama Hama Oyster Company is looking for a Fulfillment Support Specialist.

This Fulfillment Support Specialist is responsible for helping the wholesale team move oysters from A to B, focusing on the online and chef orders. This person keeps the online store inventory up to date and troubleshoot FedEx shipping logistics - keeping customers informed of delays and doing their best to expedite orders. They receive packages from FedEx, UPS, and other couriers; move the boxes someplace where they won’t be underfoot; and let the intended recipients know that the package has arrived. They print orders and pick lists for the fulfillment crew, answer the phone, and generally assist the fulfillment and sales teams with tasks and projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Tracking packages and coordinating between customers and FedEx.
  • Keeping inventory up to date, and managing spreadsheets to convey essential information to a variety of team members.
  • Customer service, with a focus on  good humor and professionalism.

Requirements include:

  • Professional written and verbal communication.
  • Being detail oriented, organized, and thorough.
  • Comfortable with technology, including websites, apps and Google suite.
  • Good team player, able to receive feedback and remain helpful while working within existing systems.
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the job, as spelled out in the job description.
  • Spanish language skills a plus

This is a full time, year-round position located at our facility in Lilliwaup, WA. Expected hours of work are Sunday - Thursday, 30 to 40 hours a week, from 8 am to ~4:30. Compensation range starts at $19 per hour.

Physical Demands Include: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force regularly and 40 pounds of force occasionally, and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly, to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Must be able to sit, stand, navigate stairs, work on a step ladder, duck, stoop, reach, and carry. Job involves repetitive motion of the wrist, hands, and fingers and exposure to the heat and cold of indoor and outdoor environments, including a chilled production room. Job involves exposure to crustacean shellfish and other allergens. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to read and write. Must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate with co-workers, supervisors and managers.
