Hi everyone! Big news: Our 2013 Oyster Rama is set for Saturday April 27th. We've created a Rama page, which you should see as an option up top. Check the page for photos of Ramas past and info about the upcoming event. Tickets will go on sale mid-March. Stay tuned! Here's the rest of the Spring 2013 schedule: Saturday March 30th: 1 to 3 pm. Our first Open Farm Day of the year. Super low key. Bring your gear (your "muckers and shuckers", as Oyster Man Dan puts it) and head out to the flats to harvest your own oysters...

1. Oyster Stout 2012 is brewing! 2. Adam gains a pretty impressive title. No, we did not write this ourselves. Hopefully this world is big enough for two oyster kings. 3. More about the above: Seattle's Bastille Restaurant (in Ballard) is featuring Hama Hamas in their new Monday- Wednesday oyster happy hour. The newly-crowned Oyster King and other friends will be shucking and yapping at the Bastille on Wednesday, February 1st. 4. Lastly: our aquarium has officially come back from the dead. Nov 2, 2011: Culinary Students Meet Mr. Chum Salmon
On Halloween the Culinary Institute of America stopped by for some delicious treats, and one unexpected trick. The school visits almost every year while on a culinary tour of the West Coast. They first meet up with wild salmon activist Amy Grondin and folks from Long Live the Kings to learn about salmon restoration, and then gather on our beach for raw oysters, barbecued oysters, and a delicious meal prepared by Seattle's Flying Fish restaurant. James Beard award winner Christine Keff, chef at the Flying Fish, is a pioneer in the sustainable seafood movement and cooks up a mean lunch....

So Adam and Oyster Fan took a trip last week to St Paul to attend the first ever Meritage Oyster Fest. We left a little early and stayed a little late, because it turned out that we had lots of fun things to do in Saint Paul. Before turning our attention to oysters, we met up with some relatives and took a boat ride on Lake Minnetonka, where our Great-Grandfather used to live, snuck in a visit with our awesome Great Aunt Rosanna, who just turned 97 and has a better memory than either of us, and did a little...
